Larry Klingener passed away at the age of 74 on February 15, 2023, after a long battle of multiple myeloma cancer.
Larry was born on January 22, 1949, to Elwood and Francis Klingener in Newton, NJ. He had 5 brothers, Chuck, Jimmy, Jay, Tommy, and Bobby. Growing up Larry loved fishing and sports. He was a star football athlete at Newton High School from which he was a graduate of, Class of 1967. Not long after he was drafted into the United States Military Service Army where he served in Vietnam from 1968-1972.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Klingener to whom he was married to for 50 years, and their 3 children Michael, Stephanie, and Natalie. Also, by his six grandchildren Sarah, Adam, Sean, Ameyali, Zaniyah, and Quetzalli.
He was loved very much by his family and will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 23, 2023, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Tannersville with Father Richard E. Czachor as celebrant.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
