- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kenneth “Kenny”
- Michael Vega, who passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 69.
- If you knew Kenny, you knew his smile. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome,
- whether you’d known him for years or had just met him. Kenny had a genuine gift for
- connecting with people. He was naturally curious, loved learning, and could strike up a
- conversation with just about anyone. His warm heart, quick wit, and wonderful sense of
- humor made every conversation memorable and left a lasting impression on everyone he
- met.
- Kenny loved music, especially playing the timbales. He enjoyed a day on the golf course and
- never passed up the chance to relax with a good cigar. More than anything, he loved being
- surrounded by family and friends. He never needed much to be happy—good music, great
- conversation, and the people he loved most were all he needed to make it a great day.
- He was a devoted husband, an incredible father, a proud grandfather, a loving brother, and a
- loyal friend. Family was the center of Kenny’s world, and he loved them with his whole heart.
- His kindness, laughter, and generous spirit will be remembered by everyone who had the
- privilege of knowing him.
- Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, George and Miriam Vega, and his sister, Lydia
- Acosta.
- Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Denise Vega, and their child, Skylynn Vega, as well as
- Denise’s children, Clemente Crischlow and Amily Crischlow; his former wife, Lourdes
- Garcia, and their children, Melissa Vega, Jacqueline (Scott) Batanzi, and Kenneth Vega II;
- his cherished grandchildren, Alexis Vega, Gabriella Vega, Daniel Vega, and Juliana
- Baldasare; his great-grandchildren, Atreus Scozzaro and Phoebe Scozzaro; his siblings,
- Phillip (Roseann) Vega, Susan (Nelson) Diaz, and Christopher (Lisa) Vega; as well as many
- nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his
- memory.
- While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the time we shared with Kenny. We
- will forever cherish his laughter, his stories, his music, and the countless memories he
- created with all of us. His love, his smile, and the joy he brought into our lives will remain in
- our hearts forever.
- Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kenny’s life on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from
- 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA
- 18360.
- A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with interment
- immediately following at Prospect Cemetery.
