Kenneth Michael Boushell, known to family and friends as Michael, passed away on October 9, 2025, at the Sapphire Care & Rehab Center in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He was born on January 19, 1947, in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Clinton C. and Mary E. (Wallace) Boushell.

Michael's early education took place at East Stroudsburg Junior and Senior High School, culminating in his graduation in 1964. A talented musician, he was a member of the Marching Band under the direction of Dr. Zelner, and his proficiency with the trumpet allowed him to perform with Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians. Continuing his academic pursuits, he earned a degree from East Stroudsburg State College in 1968.

A Veteran of the United States Army, Michael served his country with honor during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970 as a combat engineer. His service was characterized by commitment and dedication, traits that he carried into his professional life.

Following his military service, Michael relocated to Washington, D.C., where he began his career with the U.S. Department of Transportation. From 1979 to 1980, he worked for ARAMCO as a computer scientist, supporting the development of the King Khalid Military Center. He later joined The Hartford Insurance Company in Connecticut, and he concluded his professional journey as a Sales Executive for Pansophic Systems in Tysons Corner, Virginia. After retiring in 2004, Michael returned to Pennsylvania, where he continued to demonstrate his work ethic by taking on projects as an independent contractor.

Michael is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Boushell, and his wife, Vicki, of Hartwell, Georgia. He is also survived by his nephews, Brandon Boushell and his wife, Megan, of Manassas, Virginia, and Brent Boushell and his wife, Erin, of Hartwell, Georgia. Additionally, he leaves behind cousins Peggy L. Hardy and her husband, Sam, of East Stroudsburg; Lloyd Wallace and his wife, Cindy, of Stroudsburg; and Mary Ann Winsey and her husband, Kenneth, of Spring Hill, Florida, along with many other cousins.

A memorial service to honor Michael's life will be held at a later date and will be announced, at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Margie Good officiating
