Katherine S. Weiss

Katherine S. Weiss, 94, of East Stroudsburg passed away on Monday June 18th 2018 at Pleasant Valley Manor. She was the wife of the late Sherman Weiss, who died in 1986. Born January 20, 1924 in Easton, the daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Remaley) Stout She was a resident of Monroe County for the past 32 years,and prior to that of Easton. Katherine was a member of the Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg, and the Pocono Singles Prior to her retirement in 1986, she worked at Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 as a Teaching Assistant; she then worked for Pocono Area Transitional Housing (PATH) until she was 90. Katherine also worked for Mack Printing in Easton for many years. Katherine is survived by her children, William S. Weiss of Bethlehem, Thomas M. Weiss and his wife Mallory of Ocala, Florida, and Amy G. Tinney and her husband Ronald of East Stroudsburg; her 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Daniel Stout of Fogelsville. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 11:00am at the Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Easton with Rev Eric Moser officiating.
