Karen L. Jones

Karen L. Jones, 50, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the home, surrounded by her family. Born July 18, 1965 in East Stroudsburg the daughter of Mildred Hockenberry of Saylorsburg and the late Stanley E. Harrison. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. She was a very active member of the Kunkletown Rod & Gun Club. Currently she was working at Turkey Hill in Wind Gap, where she worked for many years, prior to that she worked at Pocono Manor and at the BP Gas Station in Sciota. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her long time partner Timothy Bak of Saylorsburg, her children, Maria Carcamo and Jacob Jones, of Saylorsburg, her brother Dale K. Hockenberry Sr and his wife Robyne of Saylorsburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Karen was predeceased by her 3 sisters Mildred “Cookie” Canally, Daisy Snook, and Margaret “Peg” Winters. Memorial funeral services will be held on Monday October 12, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Lynda Keefer officiating. There will be a visitation on Monday from 12:30pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Karen’s children, in care of the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg PA 18360
