Karen E. Saunders

Karen E. Saunders, 65, of Bartonsville passed away on January 12, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of James A. Saunders, the were married September 13, 1980 Born April 14, 1950 in Parsippany, New Jersey the daughter of the late Calvin and Shirley Smith. She was a resident of Monroe County for the past 34 years. She belonged to the TOPS Chapter of Bartonsville. Karen worked as a cashier at Shoprite in Mount Pocono and also Stroudsburg for many years. In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her daughters Carrie and Amber Saunders, and her sons Andrew, James and Richard Saunders; her grandchildren Shane Saunders, Alexis Lampron, Dakota Saunders, Damion Saunders and Maria Saunders; and her 2 sisters Carol Helm and Christine Early. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 12, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. Services will be held on Thursday April 14, 2016 at 11:00am at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
