Junne E. Hook, 92, Kunkletown, passed away peacefully at home June 18, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born September 15, 1929 in Brodheadsville, she was the daughter of the late Alice A. Bond and Morgan G. Snyder. She attended Chestnut Hill School. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a forewoman at Better Made sewing mill. Junne was most proud of her family and enjoyed many nights on the porch reminiscing and laughing. She had an infectious smile and was quick witted. Her jokes will carry on. She had a passion for animals and enjoyed bird watching daily. She is surely missed by her four kitties. Junne is survived by grandchildren: Jennifer M. Henry and husband Patrick of Effort, Elizabeth M. Hook of Pomptain Plains, NJ, Morgan L. Hook and Amanda M. Hook, both of Nazareth. Great grandchildren: Gabriella Koshefsky of Pomptain Plains, NJ and Shea P. Henry, her “honey bunny” of Effort. Stepson Paul A. Lambert of Sciota, Step grandchildren: Vincent L. Walton and wife Patricia of Scranton, Stephanie E. Lambert of Sciota, Don H. Hoffner, Jr. of Blakeslee, and Andrea R. Hoffner of Marlboro, NY. Sisters: Marion M. Miller of Anchorage, AL and Norma “Chippy” P. Scheller of Effort. She was preceded in death by: husband James M. Hook, Sr. partner Peter A. Lambert, son James M Hook, Jr, daughter in law Joan M. Hook, stepdaughter Linda A. Hoffner, sister Meryl M. Keiper and brother Larry J. Bond. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 10 a.m. Friday, July 15th at Green Ridge Cemetery, McIlhaney. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to AWSOM, PO Box 13, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
