Judith "Judy" Ann Peters Blye passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, July 14, 2023. Judy was born on March 6,1961 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey at Mountainside hospital. She grew up in Little Falls, New Jersey and graduated from St. Paul VI catholic high school in Clifton, New Jersey. Judy moved to the Poconos in 1996. She was a waitress for many years and loved her job and people. Judy was preceded in death by her father Donald J. Tabatneck who passed away in 2006 and also both her children, Nicholas A. Peters who passed away in 2022, and Mackenzie L. Peters who was born sleeping in 1992. Judy was survived by her husband James R. Blye, sister Mary Tabatneck, brother Donald Tabatneck and her six children, Kimberlee C. Peters, Ashley N. Peters, Tyler M. Peters and wife Jennifer, Brandon M. Peters and wife Rose, Benjamin Peters and Kaleigh M. Peters. She also had 14 grandchildren she loved very much, Kaila, Gianna, Malik, Danea, Taevon, Samiya, Danessa, Jailee, Zoey, Mia, Brandon Jr., Angelo, Abagail, and baby boy Peters. Also, many extended family and friends. Judy was known for her infectious smile and loving personality. Anyone who knew Judy knew she could make you laugh. She could light up any room with her funny sense of humor. Judy was an animal lover. She loved both her dogs Chloe and Brutus and her cat Rambo and George. Judy will be missed deeply by many, especially her children and grandchildren who adored her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2023 at 11:00am at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Father Michael Quinnan officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroudsburg Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Tuesday July 18, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
