Joseph Shubelky Jr.

Joseph Shubelky Jr, 58, of Stroudburg, passed away on Monday June 18, 2018 at Milford Manor. Born January 7, 1960 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, the son of the late Joseph Shubelky Sr and Frieda (Whittaker) Shubelky-Burkhart. He was a resident of Monroe County for most of his lifetime. He was a member of the St John’s Evangelical Church in Bartonsville. Joe worked as a dishwasher at Besecker’s 5th Street Diner for many years. He is survived by many cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Brantley Sr and Rosie Whittaker, his Aunts and Uncles, Clair and Emma Hay, Brantley Jr and Violet Whittaker, Russell Whittaker Sr, Willard (Tim) Whittaker, and Evelyn Whittaker. There will be a viewing on Sunday June 24, 2018 from 12:30pm until the time of the funeral service at 1:30pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating. Burial will be private on Monday June 25th, in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: the charity of one’s choice.
