Joseph Clifford De Maria

Joseph Clifford De Maria, 50, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Saint Clare’s Hospital, Dover, New Jersey. Born June 11, 1965 in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Michael P and Nancy A. De Maria. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. He was a member of the Saint Luke’s Catholic Church, Stroudsburg. Joseph was self employed, owning and operating his own drywall and construction business until he became disabled. Joseph enjoyed riding his Harley and teaching his son and daughter to ride. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and especially planting and taking care of his garden with his biggest green peppers, hottest habanera and most beautiful flowers. He also loved animals and did a lot of volunteer work at AWSOM and foster care of pets. He put on the best BBQ’s and fireworks display ever. Joe was a very religious man. He always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by us all. He is survived by his son David De Maria of Colorado and his daughter Rachelle De Maria of Stroudsburg. He is also survived by his siblings and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 11:00am at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North 5th Street Stroudsburg; as per his wishes he was cremated. The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street. Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
