Joseph A. Kiernan

Joseph A. Kiernan, 71, of Bartonsville passed away Thursday April 6, 2017 due to compllcation of a massive heart attack. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Joseph served in the Ntional Guard and served on year in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Joseph and his family moved to Pennsylvania in 2001. Joseph retired from Jay & Dee trucking where he worked for many years. Joseph was preceded in death by his step-daughter Deanna Crandall. Joseph is survived by his loving wife Kathleen whom they have shared their lives together for many years. He is also survived by his 9 children, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Joseph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren could not have asked for a better man to be in their lives. Joseph was loved by many and touched many hearts. He will be deeply missed. There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm with funeral services at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street Stroudsburg
