John R. McGrath of Stroudsburg, PA passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2023.
John was born on February 5, 1967, to Barbara McGrath and the late Robert McGrath in Brooklyn, NY.
He met his late wife, Dolores while working at Party City on Long Island and they married in 2009.
He is survived by his mother Barbara, brother Brian, sister Karen, niece Kristen, stepdaughter Karen, and
stepson Richard as well as his 6 grandchildren: Justin, Kayla, Leah, Jocelyn, Colin, and Liam.
John was a kind, generous soul who loved with all his heart. He loved his late wife and took care of her
until her passing in 2018. His love for his grandchildren was immense and he spoke about them with so
much pride. John was a dedicated employee of Party City of almost 20 years and enjoyed spending time
with and mentoring his staff.
John will be missed deeply by many but will live on through all the people who had the honor of
knowing him.J
