John G. Labrenz, age 64, of East Stroudsburg died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital. At the time of his passing he was surrounded by his loving wife of more than 21 years, mother and sister. John was born January 16, 1957 in New York City. He is the son of the late Egon Labrenz and survived by his mother Lilian Labrenz. He moved to the Poconos in 2010 and was happily married to his wife Shirley. John enjoyed traveling the world with his wife. He loved the ocean and scuba diving. He enjoyed watching old black and white movies, Murder mysteries like Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot and John Wayne movies. He was good at backgammon and has a crazy sense of humor. He liked to play pranks on others and his laughter was very enigmatic and could fill the room He enjoyed helping people fix electronics and loved his Pepsi. He enthusiastically shared his knowledge. He was a jack of all trades. He loved and served his country and in the process ultimately became disabled in his service. In addition to his wife Shirley and mother Lillian he is survived by his sister Bettyann Labrenz Gonzalez, Ceferino Gonzalez (brother-in-law) and Daniel Gonzalez (Nephew) and numerous other extended family members around the world. Until the end, John continued to help others. He gave of himself the gift of life. He will surely be missed. May He Rest In Peace.
