John Frederick Storman died peacefully at his home in Tannersville. He was born in Brooklyn NY on May 30, 1939, the son of Elizabeth Urban and John A. Storman. He was predeceased by his wife of 20 years Patricia Sharman. John served more than 20 years in the US Air Force and retired in 1977, obtaining rank of Master Sergeant. He served in the veterinarian services, food procurement, and as a health inspector. John continued to serve the government at Tobyhanna Army Depot until his full retirement in 2003. John traveled the world mostly with his family and led a colorful and wonderful life. Tours of duty included England, Ireland, Vietnam and Italy and many stateside locations such as Colorado, Texas, Indiana and New Jersey. John enjoyed fishing and boating, and the company of good friends. All will sadly miss his siding in a playful conversation. John married in England to Patricia and together they had two children, Donna and Daniel. John is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Pensabene and her husband Christopher, Dorothy Pritchard and her husband William and his brother in law in England, John Sharman and his wife Margaret. Survived children are his son Daniel Storman and his wife Deborah and their two sons Zachary and Nathan. His daughter Donna Whitman and her husband Mark Raymond and their children Brooke and Beau and his companion Mandee, Great grandchildren are Jamison, Faith and Levi. He will be missed by all his family and friends. The family will receive visitors on Thursday April 7, from 12:00noon until the time of the service at 2:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Peter Richert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
