On August 19, 2021, John Dugan, 59, of East Stroudsburg, PA left this world. John was a husband, father, brother, uncle, musician, and friend to many. John will be forever missed and always remembered by his loving wife, Tammy, his baby girl, Chelsea and his cat, Lucky. John was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Cannon of East Stroudsburg, and his sister Lois Van Why and her husband Ed also of East Stroudsburg. John leaves behind his sister Carol Price of Stroudsburg, his brother Gordon Dugan and his wife Eileen of Stroudsburg, his brother Joe Levocz of Lake Placid, FL, his sister Jackie Lapping and Bruce Cramer of Stroudsburg, and his sister Evon Tullo and her husband Bryan of Charleston, SC. John has many nieces and nephews that love him greatly: Bill Price of Stroudsburg, Justin Dugan and his wife Kim of Bushkill, PA, Karly Dugan and her husband Jason Thomas of Easton, PA, Amy Erwin and her husband Caleb of Bangor, PA, Daniel Dugan and his wife Alyssa of East Stroudsburg, PA, Sarah Wood and her husband, Taylor of Denham Springs, LA, Rudy Levocz of Stewart, FL, Mary Levocz of Moscow, Russia, Alyssa and David Rash of Philadelphia, Lisa Dugan of Charleston, SC, Megan Kopera & her husband Daniel of Currituck, NC, Nicole Harewood-Harris & her husband Daniel of Charleston, SC, Michael Lapping and his wife Cindi of Stroudsburg, Patrick Lapping and his wife Lauri of Saylorsburg, PA, and Shannon and Mitchell Kennedy of East Stroudsburg, PA, David VanWhy of East Stroudsburg and Deanna Terlesky of East Stroudsburg; and his great niece Madison Cheslock of East Stroudsburg Vocationally, John was a self-employed carpenter who built everything from decks to complete homes in the Poconos for many years. His skill and knowledge in the trade made him a much sought after craftsman. John’s love of music and, in particular playing the guitar, was well known. He played lead and rhythm guitar for many years with the local southern rock band, Pocono Posse. The band consists of some of John’s best friends, Tom Vanluvender, Tracy May, Raymond Houdeshell, and Darren Pastor The band has recorded numerous CD’s and garnered much praise on rock radio stations. Johnny had many interests and loved camping, fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and friends and of course, a good laugh. Johnny will be truly missed, but the memories of what he did and more importantly who he was, will live on in our hearts forever! We love you immensely, Johnny! May the grace and mercy of God be with your soul! There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, August 25, at 3pm-? at the VFW located on 2540 Fawn Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. The family is asking that you display a bandana, if you feel so inclined, in honor of John and come prepared to share your memories of him
