Janet L. Sadlon-Hempel

Picture Janet L. Sadlon-Hempel, 84, of Tannersville, passed away on Thursday October 5, 2017 at the Easton Hospital. She was the wife of Charles Hempel, they were married in 1982 and was the widow of Paul Sadlon. Born June 21, 1933 in Fullerton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late E.John and Lillian May ( Stoicsics) Bosk. Janet was an active member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Tannersville. She was the ultimate homemaker, never forgetting anyone’s birthday; she was the den mother for the cub scouts and was a girl scout leader. She loved to travel to Europe and loved to go on cruises to the Caribbean. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, David A. Sadlon of Murrieta, California, and Paul J. Sadlon and his wife Lynn of Easton; her daughter Paula J. Zwolenik and her husband Norman of Tamaqua. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kristina A. Zwolenik, Austin J. Zwolenik, Paul L. Sadlon, Ethan Sadlon, MacKenzie Sadlon. Her stepson Craig Hempel of Wisconsin and her step grandson Jamie Hempel. She was predeceased by her brother John Jack” Bosk , her sister Karen Zimmerman, and her stepson Gary C. Hempel. There will be a viewing on Monday October 9, 2017 from 9:00am until the time of the funeral services at 11:00am at the St Paul Lutheran Church, 158 Fish Hill Road, Tannersville with Pastor Harry M. Laubach officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, New Jersey.
