In Loving Memory of James T. Schoch

James T. Schoch was born on October 17, 1935, in Devil's Hole (Cresco), Pennsylvania. He left us and moved on with the angels on June 8, 2026, passing away peacefully at his home in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He leaves behind a legacy of leadership, kindness, and community spirit. James was an honorable citizen in society, widely respected by his peers, and deeply loved by the many lives he touched throughout his journey.

James was a man of distinct passions and a dedicated leader. He proudly served as the former president of the Monroe County Cruisers Car Club, where he shared his love for classic automotive culture and brought enthusiasts together across the region. His commitment to his community and his honorable character defined his daily life, earning him the enduring respect of everyone who knew him.

James leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted fiancé, Dolores Storm; his daughter, Kathy Schoch; his step-sons, Christopher R. Triola and Timothy T. Triola; and his beloved grandson, Brendan J. Sullivan. He is also survived by Dolores’s sons, Jake Storm, and Guy Storm and his wife Stacy; his brother, Richard Schoch; and his nephew, Alfred Schoch.

James was reunited in peace with his loved ones who went before him. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Schoch; his mother, Jane Elizabeth Dufton Schoch; his brother, Alfred Schoch; and his nephew, Richard Schoch.

A graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery on Sunday, June 14. At James’s personal request, his cremains will be placed directly above his beloved mother. Services are being provided with care by Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home Inc of Stroudsburg, PA.

There will be no immediate gathering following the graveside service. Instead, a special fundraising event for a local charity will be held next year in his honor and remembrance, arranged by his fiancé, Dolores Storm. Friends, family, and community members are kindly asked to follow up with Dolores directly for future details regarding the time, location, and how to participate in supporting this cause.
