James Leon Meyers

James Leon Meyers, 87, of Cherry Valley, Hamilton Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday June 10, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Virginia C. (Smith) Siptroth-Meyers

Born January 25, 1938, in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late William and Hilda Possinger. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a lineman

Jim loved to farm in the Valley he grew up in.

In addition, to his wife Virginia, James is survived by his 2 sons Steven Meyers and his wife Maryanne and James Meyers: his 3 stepchildren Susan Meyers, Steven Siptroth and his wife Daine, and Sarah Woolf and her husband Frank

His grandchildren, John, Elizabeth, Julie, Brett, Joseph and David Meyers, Benjamin Siptroth, Ryan Blakeslee, D'Asia Woolf and Isaac Woolf, and many great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son Michael Meyers Sr, his grandson Michael Meyers Jr, his stepdaughter Tammy A. Siptroth and his sister Marge Griffith.

Memorial funeral services will be announced and held at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
