James H. Abrams

James H. Abrams, 81 of Bartonsville, passed away on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus. He was the husband of the late Doris Abrams who died August 2, 2018, they were married for 60 years on February 22. Born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late James H. and Louise (Raynor) Abrams. He was a resident of Monroe County for more than 20 years, and prior to that of West New York, New Jersey. James attended the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church. James is survived by his 4 children, LuAnn Rodriguez of Stroudsburg, Doreen and her husband Rev Ed Torres of Leraysville, James E. Abrams and his wife Angela of Elmwood Park NJ and Lorraine Kaufman of Bartonsville. His grandchildren, Andrew, Chris, Josh, Jason, Peter, Brianna, Matthew, Shiloh, Amanda, James, Vincenza, Riley, and Jonah. His great grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, Noelle, Emily, Noah, Aurora and Levi. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Brand and her husband Ted and his brother John Abrams all of Florida. There will be a viewing on Saturday November 17, 2018 from 9:30am until the time of the service at 11:00am at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Rev Ed Torres and Pastor Peter Torres officiating. Cremation will follow.
