JACK H. LESOINE SR, formerly of Stroud Township, passed at Gluco Lodge,
Kemmertown, on February 28, 2023 at the age of 98. He was the son of Russell H.
and Elsie (White) Lesoine, and is survived by his wife of 79 years, Arlene (Heller)
Lesoine.
Jack retired from Bell Telephone of PA in 1982. He was a gentleman farmer
with a large garden and orchard, selling produce and fruit from his garage. Many
residents enjoyed his produce, and especially loved his tomatoes. Jack and Arlene
traveled extensively in their fifth wheel across the United States, reaching 49
states.
Jack and Arlene married on Feb. 6, 1944 in Kansas City, KS on a 3-day pass
during his World War II military service prior to his transfer to France and
Germany. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Stroudsburg,
Barger Lodge 325 F & AM, Bell Telephone Pioneers and Stroud Township
Volunteer Fire Company.
He is also survived by his sons Jack Jr. and wife Linda (Schaefer) Lesoine,
David A. Lesoine, and Paul F. and wife Judy (Jackson) Lesoine, 7 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Roy E. Lesoine,
nephew Russell Lesoine and many cousins.
Final arrangements will made by Bensing Thomas Funeral Home with a
memorial service to be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Indiantown
Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith United
Methodist Church Building Fund, 1600 Clause Dr, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 or a
charity of your choice.
