Iva Mae Kochera, 91, a lifetime resident of Mountainhome, passed away on Saturday December 5, 2015 at Milford Manor, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late George Kochera Sr. Born April 28, 1924 in Mountainhome the daughter of the late Fred and Bessie (Elwine) Roberts. Iva was a member of the Mountainhome United Methodist Church, but was most passionate about being a volunteer at the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library in Cresco. Iva owned and operated the Sunset Mobile Home Park in Mountainhome, she also owned and operated Iva’s Yarn Shop in Mountainhome. She is survived by her 2 sons, Ronald Kochera and his wife Lucy of Bethel, PA, and Allen Kochera and his wife Janice of Henryville; her daughter Virginia Green and her husband Gerald of Sherman Oaks, CA; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son George Kochera Jr. and her daughter Kimberly K. Brown Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Mountainhome United Methodist Church, 6683 Route 191 Mountainhome with Pastor John Keretzman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Mountainhome. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 12:30pm until the time of the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that friends would donate a book to the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library in Iva’s Name, 6500 Route 191 Cresco PA 18326
