Herbert C Sherman of Saylorsburg, died peacefully at home on July 14, 2017. He was born on July 9, 1930 in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was the only son of Herbert and Beulah (Morrow) Sherman. He graduated from Wood Ridge High School in 1949 and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He married Elizabeth Fimpel in 1950 in Biloxi, Mississippi and they settled back in Wood Ridge, New Jersey, where they raised six children. He was preceded by his wife, Elizabeth, his parents and his sister Mabel Elizabeth Holguin. His is survived by his six children, Paul (Cynthia), Brian, Randy (Regina), Wayne (Laura), and Linda (Joe) Spano of Pennsylvania and Michael (Donna) of New Jersey and one sister, Mary Guice of Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Matthew Sherman, Danielle Shupp, Craig Sherman, Carolyn Sherman, David Sherman, Jennifer Ranaudo, Lisa Sherman, Brett Sherman and Marc Sherman. Additionally, he is survived by four great grandchildren, Hunter and Jackson Shupp, Frank and Kayla Ranaudo. He was an aviation lover, who loved flying his own private plane and model airplanes. He was a member of the Beltzville Flying Machine Society.
