Helen Mae Wesselius

Helen Mae Wesselius, 74, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday February 6, 2018 at the Gardens at Stroud.  Born June 21, 1943 in West Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Barkley F. Sr. and Christine (Richter) Eckert. Helen was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother. Helen is survived by her sons Rudy C. Wesselius and his wife Kathy of East Stroudsburg, Barkley F. Wesselius and his wife Antoinette of Bartonsville, Hilbrand “Hilly” Wesselius of Levittown and by her daughter Christine Hodge and her husband William of Glen Gardner, New Jersey;  Her grandchildren Candice Beers and her husband Ryan, Daniel Jacob “DJ Lindaberry, Brianna M. Wesselius, Kayla A. Wesselius, Lucas A. Wesselius, Joshua Wesselius, Rachel Wesselius, Victoria Wesselius, Cassie Simone, Dylan Wesselius. 3 Great grandchildren Brothers & Sisters: Frank Eckert and his wife Jane, Barkley Eckert and his wife Marilyn. Helen was proceeded in death by her twin brother Henry Eckert and her sister Christine “Ann” Garrick.   Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 at 3:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street Stroudsburg with Pastor Beth Utley officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 2:00pm until the time of the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org
