Helen J. Marsh, 93 of Stroudsburg passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Born in East Stroudsburg on July 31, 1930, she was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Kania) Jolisok. She was the widow of the late Hon. James R. Marsh.
A lifelong resident of the Stroudsburgs, Helen graduated in 1949 from East Stroudsburg High School.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of The Church of Saint Luke. She studied piano with Prof. Fred V. Sittig and Eleanor F. Holden. She served as past president of the Music Study Club of the Stroudsburgs and was later an honorary member. She also served on the PA Federation of Music Clubs' State Board.
Helen was a secretary at the former Ronson Corp. for over a decade until she left to raise her family. She later worked as a bookkeeper at the former Beaver House Restaurant.
Her devotion to her husband and family was top priority. Later in life, her direction led her to be a caregiver, which brought her much joy.
She is survived by two daughters Janet K. Catina, Esq. of Stroudsburg and Scherli H. Mosberger (Eric) of Fort Myers, Florida; two grandchildren LT James J. Catina of Poulsbo WA and Kathryn F. Catina of Atlanta GA and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal calling hours. Funeral services will be private with burial blessings by Fr. Michael F. Quinnan.
