Picture Gregory Scott DeYong, 54, of Stroudsburg, passed away at home on Sunday August 5, 2018 surrounded by his friends and family. He was the husband of Wanda S. (Keiper) DeYong, they were married for 22 years. Born June 24, 1964 in East Stroudsburg, the son of David DeYong Jr. and Elaine G. (Cooney) DeYong of Largo, Florida. He was a resident of Monroe County for the past 22 years, and prior to that of Columbia, New Jersey. He attended the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church. In 2011 Gregory got a Commercial Driver’s License and drove Dump Truck, most recently for Muschlitz Excavating. Prior to that he worked in construction as a carpenter. He was in the New Jersey Laborer Union. Gregory loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his wife and parents, Gregory was the proud father of twin sons Gregory and David, he loved them and lived for them. He is also survived by his brother David DeYong III and his wife Alison of Belvidere, New Jersey and his sister Susan Rodenbaugh and her husband Michael of Martins Creek; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many many close friends. There will be a visitation on Saturday August 11, 2018 at 11:00am followed by a memorial service at 12:00noon at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Dana Antal and Pastor Lynda Keefer officiating. Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Gregory’s name to the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg PA 18360.
