Gladys Mae Warnick, 98, of Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully on December 31,

2025, at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania with her

daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Warnick who passed away

January 2, 1992. She was born September 16, 1927, at home in Jackson Township,

the daughter of the late Wilson and Bertha (Everitt) Smith. Gladys was a lifelong

resident of Monroe County. She enriched the lives of those around her with her quick wit

and great sense of humor, leaving a legacy of love and laughter.

Gladys began working at the Shoe Factory on Dreher Avenue in Stroudsburg and prior

to her retirement at age 62 had worked at the former Banner Metal.

She was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, contributing her time

and spirit to her faith community. Additionally, she was a member of the Order of the

Eastern Star and the Order of the Amaranth, organizations that reflect her dedication to

service and fellowship.

Gladys was known for her creative passions. She took enjoyment in crafting as she was

an avid knitter, skilled at cross-stitch, and learned to make quilts. Her culinary talents

made family gatherings especially memorable as she delighted loved ones with her

outstanding cooking.

Gladys was a devoted mother to her three children. Gladys is survived by her daughter,

Susan K. Williams and her husband Scott, 5 grandchildren, Jessica Forney-Kline,

Patrick Forney, Ashley Warnick, Reid Williams, Paul Warnick and 5 great grandchildren,

Cage Best, Raleigh Williams, Kendall Warnick, Ryan Forney, and Ricky Kline. Her

family will lovingly remember her warmth and support as they navigate this profound

loss.

She is preceded in death by her son, Paul S. Warnick II, her daughter, Diane Forney, as

well as her grandson, Thomas Best. Gladys was the last surviving member of nine

siblings, having been predeceased by Alberta Thomas, Beatrice Besecker, Warren

Smith, Oakey Smith, Emma Butz, Arlene Burger, Ethel Hartshorn, and Homer Smith.

Gladys Mae Warnick will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

There will be a service on January 10, 2026, at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, located

at 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, with Former Sheriff Todd A. Martin officiating.

Friends and family may call beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00

AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Mrs. Bush's Resident

Association, 302 Kunkletown Road, Kunkletown PA 18058 or to Saint Lukes Hospice.
