George Thomas Weatherbee SR. passed away on Thursday, march 16 2023 at Lehigh valley hospital, East Stroudsburg P.A. He was 78.
He was born to the late Holton Alexander Weatherbee and the late Matilda Rose "Brine" Weatherbee on July 30th, 1944, in Paterson, NJ.
George graduated from Booton High school in Booton NJ in 1962 where he played with the Booton Bombers football team.
After high school he went to R.C.A Institute "1973" and N.J.I.T. "1979". He did this taking night classes while working full time during the day where he got his B.S. in electrical engineering in 1979.
It was a dream of George's to camp in Fort Wilderness Campground in Disney World which he did in 1992. Another favorite campground of his was cherrystone in V.A. George also enjoyed fishing and his deep-sea fishing trips with each son.
Another interest of his was bowling. He bowled on a local bowling league and some company sponsored leagues.
His most watched T.V. shows is on Fox news-Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, and the Ingraham Angle.
George worked for several companies in his field but supervising the calibration lab at allied chemical in Teterboro N.J. was the job he enjoyed the most. Although meeting Arthur Godfrey after coming in on his plane while George worked at Morristown Airport was quite exciting.
Very deer to his hart was his years running for Booton Kiwanis ambulance squad and Morristown ambulance squad.
George met his wife Joan on a blind date which was arranged by several friends. They were married 8 months later and just recently celebrated their 52nd anniversary.
George lived in Booton and Morris township N.J. prior to moving to East Stroudsburg P.A. with his family in 2005.
He is survived by his wife Joan "Kennedy" Weatherbee of 52 years. His son George T Weatherbee Jr "Suzanne", Stroudsburg P.A., son Ryan J Weatherbee East Stroudsburg P.A. and his sister Dorothea Finson Lake Arrowhead N.J. he is also survived by his nephew Scott Finson of Baltimore M.D. and niece Beth Benson. Andover N.J.
Viewing will be on Thursday, March 23rd 2023 at Bensing-Thomas Funeral home in Stroudsburg P.A. at 11 Am to 1:30 followed by burial at the Stroudsburg cemetery.
