Gary Lee Bachman

Gary Lee Bachman, 69, of Kunkletown, passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2024, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono. He was the husband of Judy Ann (Sebring) Bachman, they were married December 2, 1989.

Born January 18, 1955, in Northampton, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Herman and Mildred (Schaffer) Bachman.

Prior to his retirement he was a custodian working for the Northampton Area School district for over 30 years.

Gary has been a part of The Growing Place Childcare Centers for many years. He helped all the centers as our handy Gary. Whenever we needed something fixed or put together, we called Gary. He installed gates for the classrooms, put together new furniture and even buffed the floors. He was not a big fan of painting, but he even did that with a smile if needed. The staff and children loved Gary and looked forward to seeing him. In our West End Fair days, he would spend very hot days helping set up and take down the tent and displays. The Growing will truly miss this very special gentle man.

In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his daughter LeeAnn Bachman of Kunkletown, his sister-in-law Sallie Bachman and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was predeceased by his brother Dennis Bachman and his sister Darlene Kern.

There will be no services at this time.
