Gail Elizabeth Flory

Gail Elizabeth Swank Flory, 81, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 30,

2024 surrounded by family. Born in East Stroudsburg, PA, she was the daughter of David and

Madeline Swank.

Gail was a resident of East Stroudsburg her entire life. She graduated from East Stroudsburg

High School in 1961. She worked alongside her husband in their business, Plants & Design

Center for 40 years. Later in life she served as support staff at East Stroudsburg Area School

District. She also served on the East Stroudsburg School Board for 8 years. She was a member

of East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church. She was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star - Monroe

Chapter. Gail is remembered to have a love of flower arranging and a great sense of style as

well as an infectious laugh. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,

sister and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward Flory of East Stroudsburg, her son, Keith

Flory and his wife, Lisa of East Stroudsburg, her four daughters, Debora Mancuso and her

husband, Michael of East Stroudsburg, Julia Trunzo of Stroudsburg, Gretchen Morris of

Linwood, NC, and Rebecca Halas and her husband, Nondas of Stroudsburg, Her grandchildren,

Zachary Flory and his wife, Eleni and their two children of Stroudsburg, Amanda Flory of East

Stroudsburg, Jacob Flory of East Stroudsburg, Cori Saleh and her husband, Omar and their two

children, of Macungie, PA, Jesse Mancuso and his wife, Meaghan and their child, of Fredrick,

Maryland, Nicholas Trunzo of Stroudsburg, Mikayla Morris of Trinity, NC, Kelsey Morris, of

Wilmington, NC, Jodi Lynn Allison and her husband, Michael and their child, of Lexington, NC,

Ana Halas of East Stroudsburg, Michael Halas of Stroudsburg, Emilia Halas, of East

Stroudsburg, her sister Beverly McMahon and her husband, James of East Stroudsburg, her

brother, David Swank and several nieces and nephews. Of course we can’t forget her beloved

cats, Bootsy and Rex.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the East

Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church, 55 Smith St., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Family will

receive friends from 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Gail’s name to

East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church or support our team for The Walk to End Alzheimer’s -
