Picture Frederick J. Bevan, 76,of Saylorsburg, passed away on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at his home. He was the loving husband of Ann M. (Hunt) Bevan, they were Married August 4, 1991. Born July 16, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, the son of the late Joseph and Kay (Banta) Bevan. He was a long time resident of Monroe County. Fred was a earned a Master Degree in Music Education from West Chester University in 1963, he then taught music in the Pennsburg School District._ Fred and his wife owned and operated the Double Eagle Horse Farm in Saylorsburg. He was the Band Leader for the Fred Bevan’s Show Band since 1957. He was the musical director at Mount Airy Lodge, Pocono Gardens and Strickland Mountain Resort; he was also the band leader at the Summit Hotel. In addition to his wife Ann, Fred is survived by his daughter Jenna Lynn Bevan of Dallas, TX; his step son Joel Todd Bell of Virginia Beach VA, his brother in law Clifford M. Hunt of Myrtle Beach SC, his dog Cooper and his horse Willie Paint. Memorial funeral services will be held on Sunday February 11, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with John Schwartz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to the family in care of the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg PA 18360
