Frederick F. "Ranger Rick" Feiler

Frederick F. “Ranger Rick” Feiler, 71, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday December 17, 2016 at the Pocono Medical Center.   He was the beloved  husband of Sharon L. Murdock-Feiler and best friend to his little girl Mocha.   Born May 13, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Frederick F. and Louise (Lindsay) Feiler, he was a resident of Monroe County for most of his lifetime and was a Graduate of Stroudsburg High School  with the Class of 1963.  Ranger served his country in the United States Coast Guard, being stationed in Sandy Hook, New Jersey.  Prior to his retirement, he worked as a lineman for MetEd for  many years.  He enjoyed ice fishing and rabbit hunting with his good friend John Romansky.  Rick was preceded in death by his sister in law Leslie Murdock of Effort.   In addition to his wife, Ranger is survived by his 2 sister in laws, Shawn Flaherty and her husband Frank of Effort, and Christel Murdock and her husband Chris Moses of West Orange, NJ; his brother in law Frederick Murdock and his partner Kevin Lai of West Orange.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Ryan Bruch and his wife Jess, Jillian Bruch and her fiancé T.J. Janotti, Casie Kieffer and her husband Dustin, Riley Moses, 7 great-nieces and nephews and his extended family and friends at Rudy‘s Tavern.   A celebration of  Ranger’s life will be held at a later date.  There will be no viewing.  The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.  At the request of the family, memorial donations may be made in Ranger’s name to the Pocono Health System ESSA Heart and Vascular Institute, 206 East Brown Street, East Stroudsburg PA18301  May God bless and keep you always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung May you stay forever young-Bob Dylan
