Frances Josephine Smith

Frances Josephine Smith, 92, of Jackson Township, passed away on Thursday January 15, 2026, at White Stone Care Center. She was the wife of the late William Smith who died December 13, 2000, they were married for 40 years at the time of his death

Born August 17, 1933, in Stockton, Delaware Township, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Trachtulec) Jurasek. She was a resident of Monroe County for the past 20 years, and prior to that of Hunterdon County New Jersey for her lifetime.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a forklift drive at the YALE Warehouse, and she also worked in electronics at RCA.

Frances is survived by her stepson Frank Smith of Stockton, New Jersey, Stepdaughter Irene Jones of Kunkletown, and her son Theodore Smith of Stroudsburg. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a stepdaughter Anne and a stepson William H. Smith

As per her wishes, there will be no services at this time. Ther Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements
