Picture Ethel Lorraine Hartshorn, 85, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of the late Horace Hartshorn, who died March 19, 2012.  Born October 2, 1932 in McMichaels, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Wilson D and Bertha (Everett) Smith.  She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County  Ethel was a faithful and active member of the Berean Bible Fellowship Church, she would host Bible studies in her home.  She worked as a waitress prior to starting her family; she also worked  at Blue Bay Manufacturing and the former E-Z Rest Waterbed Store. Ethel is survived by 3 children, Barry Hartshorn and his wife Lorraine of York, Dean Hartshorn and his wife Tanya of Bartonsville,  and Robin Hartshorn of Stroudsburg. Her 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Hartshorn and his wife Sara of  Stroudsburg, Leah Casselli and her husband Vinny of Philadelphia, Gregory Hartshorn and his wife Jessica of Brodheadsville, Lauren Hartshorn of Wasington DC,  and Lani Hartshorn  of Richmond , Virginia Her great grandchildren Brianna and Evan Hartshorn, Lorenzo Caselli, Landon Elliot and Meilani Hartshorn, Her siblings, Alberta Thomas of Wind Gap, Emma Butz of Reeders, Gladys Warnick of Stroudsburg, Arlene Burger of Kunkletown,  and Homer Smith and his wife Patricia of Stroudsburg; and many nieces and nephews  She was predeceased by her sister Beatrice Besecker, and her brothers Warren Smith, Oakey Smith and Lawrence Smith. A viewing will be held at 11:00am until the time of the services at 1:00pm on  Monday January 29, 2018 at the Berean Bible Fellowship Church, 1028 Tara View Drive, Stroudsburg with Pastors Beau Coffman and Daniel Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeder’s United Methodist Church Cemetery and then a reception will follow in the Berean Bible Fellowship Church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Berean Bible Fellowship Church, 1028 Tara View Drive, Stroudsburg PA 18360 or to the Lehigh Valley Health System VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 VNA Road, East Stroudsburg PA 18301
