Emma E. Behr

Emma Behr was known for her fun loving, social nature. Emma ‘s life was full in her roles as a daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and loved by all. Emma Behr was born in the Bronx NY on December 7, 1924 to Marie Baumann. William T. Behr and Emma Baumann were married in the Bronx on September 9, 1945. After years of living in the Bronx, they chose to relocate to Teaneck NJ with their 2 daughters, Joyce and Carol. Emma worked for several decades at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck in the accounting/billing departments. In 1999, Emma relocated to LaBar Village in Stroudsburg where she made many friends. Emma is fondly remembered by sisters and many others but most especially by her daughters, Joyce Billeck [Rev. Donald] of Marshalls Creek PA and Carol Power [Lee] of Prescott Valley AZ. Her grandchildren are Scott Hall of Issaquah WA, David Billeck of Scranton PA, Stephen Billeck of Marshalls Creek, PA, Eric Hall of Prescott Valley, AZ, Leanne Yi of San Diego CA, and Timothy Billeck of Wilkes Barre, PA. Her great grandchildren Morgan Hall, Madison, Vincent and Balin Migliori, and Eric and Michael Hall. A visitation will be held on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life services at 2:00pm at Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 9 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg with Rev. Eric Moser officiating. The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of the final arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg PA 18360 or to the charity of one's choice.
