Elzabeth Jane Weiss

Elizabeth Jane Weiss, 73, of Tobyhanna, passed away on July 22, 2017 at her home. Born December 12, 1943 in East Stroudsburg the daughter of Paul Schouppe of East Stroudsburg and the late Elizabeth (Staples) Schouppe. She was a resident of Monroe County for most of her lifetime. She worked in Housekeeping at Pocono Manor. In addition to her father, she is survived by her 5 children, Kathy Schmitt and her husband Steve of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Tracy McShea and her husband Thomas of Pocono Pines, James Weiss and his wife Dawn of Tobyhanna, Scott Weiss and his wife Deanna of Peru, Indiana, and Chad Weiss of Edwardsburg, Michigan. Her 8 grandchildren, Tony, Tyler, Danielle, Brogan, Kaitlyn, Chase, Alexis and Riley. Her brother Paul R.” Jake” Schouppe and his wife Regina of Neola, and her sister Pauline Weirich of Pocono Lake and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother William Schouppe. Funeral services will be private on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. Cremation will follow and Burial of her cremated remains will be at the convenience of the family in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2158 West Main Street, Stroudsburg PA 18360.
