Elsie J. Beaver

Elsie J. Beaver 83 of East Stroudsburg died December 25, 2023 at home. She was the widow of Frederick Beaver Jr. who passed away in 2002. Born on March 9, 1940 in Sciota she was the daughter of the late Amanda and Bennie Macklin. She was a lifetime resident of the area. She worked at Hughes Printing, The Old Jail, Shaw Plastics, and she retired from the Monroe County Correctional Facility. She was a member of the East Stroudsburg Methodist Church.

She was survived by her daughter Lisa Slashinski and husband Wayne and daughter Jennifer Clark; Grandchildren Christopher Strunk, and wife Diane, Daryl Strunk and wife Debbie and Kevin Clark; Great grandchildren, Triston Strunk, Nathan and Jacob Strunk, Leeann, Dylan, and Devin Strunk; Great, Great grandson Jaxson Strunk;  her son in law Theodore Molyneaux, her best friend Monroe O'Bryant and many nieces and nephews.

Elsie was predeceased by her daughters Leeann Strunk in 1997 and Lori Molyneaux in 2019, her sisters Iva Adams, Betty Swineford, Helen Dymond, Leila Komenko, Leeta Alexander, Gertrude  Simpon, and her brother John Macklin

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg as well as on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 10:00am until time of service. Service will begin at 11:00am at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will be at 12:30pm Friday at Prospect Cemetery, 501 Prospect Street, East Stroudsburg, PA.
