Eleanor I. Wall, 91,of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Monday January 15, 2018 at the Brookmont Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Charles Wall Sr. who died in 2002. Born May 15, 1926 in East Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (Counterman) Rehm. She was a lifetime resident Monroe County and was of the Catholic Faith. Eleanor was a fixture on her porch on King Street, everyone knew her and all were welcome, through the years, she was mother to many. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Decker and her husband Ronald of East Stroudsburg, her sons, George Wall and his wife Linda of East Stroudsburg, and Charles Wall Jr and his wife Choon of Manassas, Virginia. Her grandchildren Heather Hitz of East Stroudsburg, Ronald Decker Jr and his wife Michelle of Cana , Virginia, George Wall and his wife Jessica of Henryville, Samuel Wall of Henryville, John VanBuskirk and his fiancée Joanne Deems of Henryville, Charles Wall III and wife Nicole of Iowa, Michael Wall and his life partner Heather Ames of Allentown, Hae Young Cho of Manassas, VA and Young Hae Blackstone of Oregon; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren She is also survived by her sister Viola Haven of East Stroudsburg and her 2 brothers Michael Rehm and his wife Jean of East Stroudsburg and Jim Rehm and his wife Lois of East Stroudsburg. Eleanor was predeceased by her granddaughter Tammy Steele, her grandson Eric Beaver, and her brothers Morgan Strunk and Marshall Rehm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 20, 218 at 12:00noon at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery, Shoemakers. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
