E. Lorraine Kitchen

E. Lorraine Kitchen, 94, formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Pleasant Valley Manor, Hamilton Township. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Kitchen, who died Dec. 7, 2003. Born June 23, 1920, in Marshall's Creek, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Ruth (Hillegass) Miller, she was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. Lorraine was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg. She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline S. Chaplin and her husband, Michael B. Chaplin, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; her granddaughter, Lori E. Masterson and her husband, Douglas L. Masterson, of Rockledge, Fla.; and her great-grandson, Ryan P. Masterson, also of Rockledge, Fla. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack G. Miller. Memorial funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Fifth St., Stroudsburg. The Rev. Dody Siegfried will officiate. Burial will take place at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg.
