Dr. John J. Dall Jr.

Dr. John J. Dall Jr, 83, of Stroudsburg passed away on September 4, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Charlotte K. (Morris) Dall, they were married for 24 years. Born October 4, 1934 in Fords , New Jersey, the son of the late John J. Sr and Margaret (Cahill) Dall. He was a resident of Monroe County since 1970 and prior to that of Fords, New Jersey. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, Serving during the Korean War. John retired from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, in 2009, where he was Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics. Dr. Dall’s research which was predominantly pedagogical in nature, has appeared in such outlets as the Academic Leader and The Journal of Economics, Banking and Finance. Dr Dall also presented his research at the Hawaii International Business Conference. In addition to his wife Charlotte, he is survived by his Children, Dawn Dall of Scappoose, OR, John Dall III and his wife Stephanie of Holmdel, NJ and Scott Dall of Conifer, CO; his step children Sherri Williams and her husband Jim of Scotrun, and William Wall of Swiftwater. His grandchildren, Donald Straube and is wife Jamie, Jen Dall, Christopher Dall, Christian Dall, Sebastian Dall and Gabrielle Wall; and his great grand child Machenzie Straube. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Nelson of Florida and Rose Langan of New Jersey; his brother Thomas Dall and his wife Pat of Colorado; his brother in law Ralph Labaddessa and many wonderful nephews and nieces. John is also survived by his loving companion Princess. He was predeceased by his sister Margurite Labaddessa and his brother in law Bob Langan. Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday September 15, 2018 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1106, 1210 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, casual dress is requested.. Cremation was provided by the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to AWSOM Animal Welfare Society of Monroe, PO Box 13, Stroudsburg PA 18360 or to the charity of your choice.
