Douglas A. Oney

Douglas Oney of East Stroudsburg passed away on Monday January 8, 2018 after his long battle with cancer. He was born December 7, 1949 in Analomink, to the late Tilden Oney Jr and the late Lillian Masgula. He was of the Methodist Faith He was a long time bass player for many band in the area for the past 45 years. He loved his music. He was employed last at the Shawnee Inn for many years and also he was caretaker of many beautiful horses at the former Meadow Brook Farms. He loved the outdoors, planting, landscaping, hiking and Camping. He also had many chipmunks that were his friends. He loved animas of all kinds. He is survived by his sister Bonnie L Parsons of East Stroudsburg, a sister Sherri StyRing of New Jersey; 2nieces and 1 nephew, Cremation will be private and burial will be at a later date. The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street is in charge of the final arrangements.
