Doris Abrams

Doris Abrams, 81,of Bartonsville, passed away on Thursday August 2, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of James H. Abrams, they were married for 60 years on February 22. Born January 20, 1937 in West New York, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Fiore and Anna (Monchino) Rossi. She was a resident of Monroe County for more than 20 years, and prior to that of West New York, NJ. Doris attended the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church. In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by her 4 children, LuAnn Rodriguez of Stroudsburg, Doreen and her husband Rev Ed Torres of Leraysville, James E. Abrams and his wife Angela of Elmwood Park NJ and Lorraine Kauffman of Bartonsville. Her grandchildren, Andrew, Chris, Josh, Jason, Peter, Brianna, Matthew, Shiloh, Amanda, James, Vincenza, Riley, and Jonah. Her great grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, Noelle, Emily, Noah, Aurora and Levi. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary and brother Nick. There will be a viewing on Sunday August 5, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg and on Monday August 6, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Rev Ed Torres and Pastor Peter Torres officiating.
