Donna Fanelli, 65, a resident of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2022 after an 8 month long battle with congestive heart failure. Donna was born Sept 13, 1956 in Dover, NJ. She was the first child of Zigmund and Carol (Bird) Cimosz. She graduated high school in 1974. She had her first child in 1976 which was followed by her second in 1980. In 1984, she married her husband, Joseph. They then welcomed two more daughters to the family in 1985 and 1989. Donna then decided to further her education and take classes to become a certified EMT. Throughout her life, Donna held many jobs and studied various subjects. She worked in offices doing data entry, as an emergency medical technician and a home health aide to name a few. She dreamed of furthering her education (even in her 60s) by taking online college classes. She never stopped her pursuit of knowledge. She was a gifted artist with talents in drawing and writing. Donna had a huge heart and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Whether it was a place to stay or a hot meal. She was always ready with advice, an ear to vent to or a funny story to brighten your day. Whether it was weekly phone calls with her daughter Lisa in NY about how her grandkids were doing to daily check-ins about goings on from Liz and Starr. She was always there at the end of the phone line, all smiles, all laughter, bringing sunshine through our tears and hardships. Never a missed call or message…until now. Her greatest love was her family. While Donna only gave birth to her 4 daughters, she was a mom to more. She loved her step children just as if they were her own. But it went beyond just marriage and blood, she took into her family and heart the spouses of her kids. Donna was pre-deceased by her father Zigmund “Ziggy” Cimosz in 2016 and her husband Joseph “Dude” Fanelii in 2017. Donna is survived by her mother Carol Cimosz, her 3 sisters, Sue Werkheiser, Deb VonSchondorf and Karen VonSchondorf, her 4 biological daughters (Lisa, Dawn, Starr and Fawn) and her 14 grandkids. She will be mourned by her step-children by marriage (Randy, Larry, and Naomi). Her memory will further be cherished by her many friends.
