Donald F. Sebring

Donald F. Sebring, 91, peacefully departed from this life on September 20, 2026, at Spring Village Pocono. Donald was a devoted husband to the late Josephine A. (Smiley) Sebring, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. They were married for 68 years.

Born on February 11th, 1935, in Tannersville, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Lewis B. and Hazel F. (DeHaven) Sebring. He was predeceased by his three brothers, George H. Sebring, Robert L. Sebring, and Forrest B. Sebring. Donald lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

He is survived by his children, Dale L. Sebring and his wife Susan (Martin) of Tannersville, and Judy Bachman of Kunkletown and her husband, the late Gary Bachman. Donald was a proud grandfather to Rebecca (Sebring) Bilson, along with her husband Ethan, of Selinsgrove, and LeeAnn Bachman of Kunkletown. His family was the center of his world, and he took great joy in celebrating their achievements and milestones.

Donald worked in several different capacities at Patterson-Kelley in East Stroudsburg for 32 years, until his retirement in 1997. Donald was an avid handyman, a passion that defined much of his life. He found great fulfillment in building, fixing, and creating. His ability to see the potential in everything around him was a testament to his ingenuity and resourcefulness.

His service in the U.S. Army was a chapter of his life that he held with great pride. His dedication to his country was unwavering, a reflection of his strong character and sense of duty. Donald was a longtime member of the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Department, devoting countless hours of his time and service to his community.

A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Donald's life, as his family comes together to celebrate the remarkable man he was.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to the Stroud Township Volunteer Fire Company (451 Firehouse Lane, Stroudsburg, PA 18360) to honor his memory and continue his legacy.
