Donald James Smith, Jr.

Donald James Smith Jr. (Jake), of Albrightsville, passed away from a long battle with his illness on Thursday, October 12 at Palmerton Hospital, he was 55.  He is survived by his son Donald (Jake) Smith III (15); his companion of 17 years, Sandra Walsh; his stepchildren, Richard, Christopher and Danielle Walsh; his grandson Michael; and his 3 best friends, Roxie, Rosie and Candy.  He is preceded by his father Donald James Smith, Sr. and his mother Ester Smith; his sister Lori Bendward and nephew Shawn.  He will always be loved and missed forever.  He loved his John Deere Tractors, fishing, mowing lawns and tractor pulling.  A viewing will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm and 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family in care  of the funeral home.
