Dolores M. Chironna

Dolores Chironna 85, of Stroudsburg passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, at Pocono Medical Center. She was the wife of John F. Chironna. They were married on May 7, 1955 and celebrated 62 years of marriage. Dolores was born on July 13, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the daughter of Mae and Peter Sansevera. She lived in Connecticut before moving to Stroudsburg in 1999. Dolores was a very loving homemaker, who endlessly gave of herself to create a caring environment for her entire family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Laura and Neil Fitzpatrick, Cyndi and Ronald Guse, William and Mary Jane Chironna, Jeffrey and Julie Chironna, John and Susan Chironna, and Victoria and Ed Eccker. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren. A private cremation will be held at H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg; arrangements will be handled by Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home. Memorial services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army in memory of Dolores.
