Diane L. Silfee, 73, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Monday March 27, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Manor, Hamilton Township. She was the wife of Wesley H. Silfee Sr., they were married June 10, 1967.
Born May 24, 1949, in Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Frank LaBar Sr. and Viola (Counterman) LaBar. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Diane was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church of Smithfield, Craigs Meadows, East Stroudsburg.
She worked in housekeeping at the Shawnee Inn and Deerfield Manor.
In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by her Children Wesley H.” Chip” Silfee Jr and his wife Jennifer of Marietta, New York, Ronald E. Silfee and his wife Kelley of Alexandria Bay, New York, and Wendy A. Reichert and her husband William G. Bill” of East Stroudsburg.
Her grandchildren Jessica Leigh Silfee of Marietta, New York, Amanda Jean Mackes and her husband Kurtis of Jamesville, New York, Miranda Sue Pierson and her husband Byron of Springville, Pennsylvania, William G. Reichert III of St. Robert, Missouri, Christian M. Reichert of El Paso, Texas, Victoria A. Reichert of East Stroudsburg, Rachel Silfee of Cortland, New York, and her triplet grandchildren Monique Silfee. Brianna Silfee and Kasey Silfee all of Clayton, North Carolina.
Her great grandchildren Jaxx Silfee, Brody Mackes, Kimberly Mackes, and Bryson Pierson
She is also survived by her siblings, Frank LaBar Jr of Nazareth, Dorothy Silfee of Stroudsburg, Bruce LaBar of Stroudsburg, Carol Brush of Freeland, and Theresa Rauh of Stroudsburg.
Diane was predeceased by her brothers Charles and Donald LaBar.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Deb Staniszewski officiating.
There will be viewings on Monday April 3, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Tuesday April 4, from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home,
Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
