Dennis Paul Nyholm

Dennis Paul Nyholm, 79, of Stroudsburg, PA, (formerly of Sayville, NY) passed away on

Saturday, August 5, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital Monroe Campus. He was the loving husband of

Patricia F. (Salemi-Szemes) Nyholm. Born June 27, 1944, in Hempstead, NY, the son of the late

Paul Oscar and Mildred (O’Loughlin) Nyholm. Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States

Army, serving during the Vietnam war and seeing action with the First Cavalry Division.

Prior to his retirement he was a corporate pilot and owner of a marina in Long Island, NY.

In addition to his wife, Pat, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Danielle and CJ Lutz,

Son Dennis and daughter-in-law Karen Nyholm, stepchildren Diane and Richard Martinetti and

Gary and Shannon Ambrosiano. Loving grandchildren Kyra, Delaney, Dylan, Kailyn, Grayson, Anna, Emma, Michael, and Dominic. He is also survived by siblings Barbara, Mary, Robert and Kathy, as well as many nieces and

nephews

Dennis was preceded in death by daughter Dawn.

Graveside funeral services with military honors will be announced and held at Saint Ann’s

Cemetery, Sayville, New York.

The Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of the

cremation arrangements.
