Darrell L. LaBarre Sr.

Darrell Lane LaBarre, Sr, 86, entered his eternal rest on April 30, 2026. Darrell was born on January 1, 1940 and raised in Columbia, New Jersey. He enlisted in the United States Navy on February 26,1957 and served until February 26,1963. He married Lois Mae Nauman on March 5, 1960, and moved to Paradise Valley, PA, spending the rest of his life in the Pocono Mountains. Darrell was very active in his church, Innovations (the former Paradise Valley Assembly of God). He taught Sunday School, Bible Classes, he was a leader in the Royal Rangers program, and served as an Elder in the church. He also held Bible Studies at his home and mentored several young men. Darrell served as a volunteer on his local fire company in Stroudsburg, PA for several years, He was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Evelyn LaBarre, his sisters Marlene Hillyerd and Ruthann Garren and wife Lois Mae (Nauman) LaBarre who passed away on January 3, 2025. Darrell is survived by his sister, Carolyn Milheim and brother, Alvin LaBarre, his daughter Darlene LaBarre Fox and her husband Daniel, sons, Darrell LaBarre, Jr, and Duane LaBarre and his wife Dora; grandchildren: Luke Fox, Monica Fox Winkler, Candi LaBarre Paige, Drew LaBarre, Sage LaBarre, Marissa LaBarre and Marinda LaBarre; great grandchildren: Ruby Winkler, Jasmine Paige, Alyvia Paige, Mia Paige, Jaxon LaBarre, Dylan LaBarre, Isaac LaBarre, Rocco Ranzie LaBarre, Roman Ranzie LaBarre, and Ryland LaBarre. Services will be from the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA, Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held directly after the funeral.
