Darline A. Dotter 65 of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Sunday February 28th at her home. She was the longtime companion of Michael G. Huff with whom she shared twenty-six years of love and laughter. Born August 16 1950 in Callicoon, New York, the daughter of Russell T. and Arline G. ( Haupt) Dotter, She was a resident of Monroe County since 1955. Darline was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School with the class of 1968. She then attended Kutztown University from which she graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Prior to her retirement she was a teacher for twenty - five years, first in Houston Texas, and then in the East Stroudsburg Area School District where she taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th Grades as well as 6th, 7th, and 8th Grades Enrichment program. Darline was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association - Retired teachers where she was a former Vice President of the local Pocono Mountains Chapter. She was a member of the Dorothy Lim Memorial Order of the Amaranth, Monroe County Chapter No.110. She is survived by her siblings, Glenn R. Dotter and his wife Colleen of Salida, Colorado, Wayne T. Dotter and his wife Holly Newcomb of East Stroudsburg, Denise A. Rogers and her husband Richard P. Sr of Green Lane, PA, Nanette L. Eckel and her husband Christian of Richville, NY and Greg E. Dotter and his wife Rae Anne of Howard, Colorado. Darline is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Richard P. Rodgers Jr of Salida, CO, Danielle L. Bryant and her husband James of Gulfport Mississippi, Kori Eckel and his wife Jessica of Richville NY, Sarah Eckel of Vero Beach FL, Aaron Dotter and his wife Maegan of Augusta, Maine, Grant Dotter of North Berwick, Maine, Jessica L. Dotter of Colorado Springs, CO, Mason T. Dotter and Nolan H. Dotter both of Howard, CO, and her 2 great - nephews Hunter Eckel of Richville NY, and Caleb Bryant of Gulfport, MS. She was predeceased by her beloved niece Heather R. Rogers in 2001. Memorial funeral services will be held May 21st at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Smithfield, 139 Craig's Meadow Road, East Stroudsburg with Pastor John Harding officiating, followed by entombment of her remains at the Mountain Laurel Mausoleum, Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption, 1167 Woodland Drive, East Stroudsburg, PA. 18301, or to the Animal Charity of One's Choice. The Bensing - Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of funeral arrangements.
