Cynthia Theresa Gaito

Cynthia Gerrity Gaito, age 45, of Albrightsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Monroe County Hospice House after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was the fiancée of Paddy McGinley. Cynthia was born January 26, 1977 in East Stroudsburg and was the daughter of the late Paul L. Gerrity Sr. and Ruth D. Gerrity. She attended Pocono Mountain High School and Penn State University. She was well known as a bartender at the former Dansbury Depot. She also worked at United Envelope but over the past few years she worked alongside her fiancé in his flooring business, McGinley Floors. In addition to her fiancé, Cynthia is survived by her brothers, William Slutter, wife Jill of Redondo Beach, CA: Steven Slutter, wife Barbara of Blakeslee, PA; Timothy Slutter, wife Patty of Saylorsburg, PA; Paul Gerrity II, partner Kristen Aguirre of Hesperia, CA; and sister Monica Gerrity of Henryville, PA. In addition to her siblings she leaves behind an aunt and uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Saturday August 6, 2022 from 12:00noon to 12:45Pm at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00pm at the Church of Saint Matthew, 200 Brodhead Avenue, East Stroudsburg with Father Ryan Glenn as Celebrant. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Monroe County Hospice House. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Monroe County Hospice House. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
